Connection Problems

There are a few reasons why you may not be able to connect to a remote machine:

-A firewall is blocking port 5900
-The remote computer is not running a supported version of VNC
-You do not have connectivity to the Internet - and the remote machine is not local

If a firewall is blocking the connection, you will need to make sure TCP port 5900 is open for listening on the remote host.

What password to use?

The password is set on the remote side. The installation of VNC usually asks during setup.

Full Screen Mode

The viewer can easily be switched to full screen mode by pressing ctrl-alt-enter all at the same time.

Sending CTRL-ALT-DELETE to remote host

This key combination can be sent to the remote host by pressing CTRL-ALT-INSERT all at the same time.
