Remote Control 5 Connection Help

If you have manually installed the agent on the remote machine, and still cannot connect to it, then make sure port 2792 (TCP) is open on the remote machine’s firewall. This is not needed if you are using the firewall that is enabled by default with the newer versions of windows.

If you are having trouble automatically installing the agent it is important to note that Windows XP SP2, SP3, and Vista have many firewall features that will block the automatic install of the IntelliAdmin Agent. Take a look at this article for instructions on how to enable this feature on your network using group policy.

One other possible reason for an automatic install failure is Windows XP Home. Because of a limitation enabled by Microsoft, starting with SP2 IntelliAdmin Remote Control can no longer automatically install to XP Home machines. If you have XP Home, simply install the agent manually on that machine. Download it from here
