IntelliAdmin Profile Generator simplifies the process of setting up new Microsoft Exchange users on your network. It currently supports Microsoft Outlook XP, 2003 and 2007, and Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher.

Getting Started - First download a trial of the Profile Generator



Copy it to a test machine where you have logged in as a user for the first time, and no Microsoft Exchange profile has been setup for the user.

From the command line, call the profile generator with your exchange server name as its only argument:

ProfileGeneratorTrial.exe "Server.company.com"

The purchase screen is displayed since this is the trial version. We click continue and it returns back to the command prompt.

In the background Profile Generator has created our new profile. Now if we launch Microsoft Office XP, 2003 or 2007 it will already be setup - no additional settings for the user to configure.

This simple line can be added to the users logon script, and once you have purchased a license, the trial screen will not be displayed to users.

If you want to keep their remembered contacts, and other settings to not be overwritten each time, then use the RUNONCE argument. It makes sure profile generator is only run once in that users profile

Example:

ProfileGeneratorTrial.exe "Server.company.com" RUNONCE

If you want to only have profiles generated for new users, and leave existing profiles alone then use the ONLY_EMPTY argument:

ProfileGeneratorTrial.exe "Server.company.com" ONLY_EMPTY

RUNONCE, and ONLY_EMPTY cannot be used at the same time - and they both must be the last argument.

Another special situation is when you want to specify a different user than the one for the current profile. In this case we have a username Steve that we want to see in outlook instead of the current one.

ProfileGeneratorTrial.exe "Server.company.com" "Steve"
