Microsoft has expanded the pool of testers for the Windows 7 beta. Anyone can now download the beta of the new version of Windows by visiting this website:

The minimum requirements for the beta are:
*1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
*1 GB of system memory
*16 GB of available disk space
*Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (to enable the Aero theme)
*DVD-R/W Drive
*Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)
As always, be careful when trying out beta software – and watch the calendar. The beta will expire August 1, 2009. To continue using your computer you will need to be prepared to re-install a previous version of windows or upgrade to a later beta version of Windows 7.
